The American bit... Well, an English friend of mine told me that all of her teachers and friends joke on/insult Americans, so I had to put that in there for her. :D
And, nope, Alex didn't die! It was spring yesterday. Couldn't bring myself to kill the poor chap. :D
Yes, the fate of the mouse... At least I didn't add Jack or Alex finding a tiny skeleton later! Or, really, since it was a pet cat, they'd more likely find the whole thing.
